PBIS Tier II Plus training consists of four days of team training: Days 1 & 2 with the Tier I Team and Days 3 & 4 with the Tier II/Intervention Team. Tier II Plus provides support for the foundational elements of PBIS Tiers I and II with an emphasis on data teams, systems, and foundational and new intervention elements. Tier II Plus has been designed to support schools in meeting Tier III readiness.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The ASIST workshop is for caregivers who want to feel more comfortable, confident and competent in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. Just as"CPR" skills make physical first aid possible, training in suicide intervention develops the skills needed for suicide first aid. ASIST is a two-day (15 hours) intensive, interactive and practice-dominated course designed to help caregivers recognize risk and learn how to intervene to prevent the immediate risk of suicide.


LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By utilizing the above training processes throughout the ASIST workshop, participants are able to see, hear, and learn the information and skills needed to provide suicide first aid. They have the opportunity to practice these skills in both large group and small work group formats by the end of the course.


RECOMMENDED PARTICIPANTS

Administrators, Teachers, Counselors, Psychologists, Chaplains, Social Workers, Nurses, Law Enforcement, Foster Family Agencies, Community-Based Agencies, Secretaries, School Support Staff, and Faith Based Communities.

Registration is required and participants must complete both days to earn their certificate. Please do not sign up for a date session that you can not fully commit to.

$50.00 per person is due prior to the start of the training: Material, Certificate, and Lunch included.Scholarships available on a limited and demonstrated hardship basis. Email Tammy Cherry with a written justification for your request and needs.(Most communities charge over $300 for this same training!)

The Placer County Office of Education, in a unique collaboration with Placer County Health and Human Services, Roseville Joint Union High School District,and the Latino Leadership Council, are working to improve mental health outcomes for individuals, families and our community. These trainings are facilitated by a collaborative training team made up of these partners and with funding, in part, by the County of Placer Mental Health Service Act.
